Bob McGrew is a researcher and computer scientist. He completed his PhD in Computer Science at Stanford University in 2005.
McGrew is currently the Vice President of Research at OpenAI, a position he has held since joining the company in 2017. Prior to his work at OpenAI, he was a Director at Palantir Technologies, where he led engineering and product management.
Some of the projects McGrew has worked on include GPT4 and Whisper V2. He has also represented Palantir Technologies at the White House, discussing the partnership between industry and government to promote responsible AI development.
