Brooke Chan is a software engineer at OpenAI, where she has been working on the Dota team to create OpenAI Five, an AI that beat the world champions at Dota 2.

Biography

Chan previously owned the web platform at Duolingo, where she led efforts for gamification and monetisation for the iOS platform. She has also worked as a Senior Payroll Manager at i-Admin Payroll & HR Services, and as Head of Human Resources, and Human Resources Manager before that. Chan studied at Hong Kong Baptist University, where she gained a Master's in Human Resources Management, and at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts with a major in English and a minor in German Studies.
