Chia-Chun was born on June 28, 1977, in Taiwan. He received his B.A. from St. John's University (China) in 1947 and his Ph.D. from the University of Washington in 1955.
Career
Early Career
Chia-Chun started his career as a practitioner of Taekwondo, winning a silver medal in lightweight at the 1997 World Taekwondo Championships. He participated in 7 tournaments, with a total of 21 registered fights, of which he won 15, achieving a 71.4% win rate.
Academia
From 1989 to 1991, Chia-Chun served as the Director of the Institute of International Economics at the National Chung Cheng University in Chiayi, Taiwan. During this time, he also held the position of Professor Emeritus of Economics.
