Douwe Kiela (born in the Netherlands) is a researcher and scientist specialising in machine learning and natural language processing. He is currently working as the CEO of Contextual AI and as an Adjunct Professor in Symbolic Systems at Stanford University. Kiela received his PhD and MPhil from the University of Cambridge and has previously worked as a Research Scientist at Facebook AI Research and as Head of Research at Hugging Face.

Douwe Kiela (last name pronounced like "Dow Jones") is a researcher in machine learning and natural language processing. He received his PhD and MPhil in Computer Science from the University of Cambridge, where he also did an internship at Microsoft Research, Cambridge.
