I was unable to find information on Julian B. Kinney. However, I did find information on a similar name, Justin B. Kinney.
Justin B. Kinney is an Associate Professor in the Simons Center for Quantitative Biology at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory. Kinney received his Ph.D. in Physics from Princeton University in 2008 and has co-authored over 40 journal articles. He is also a project leader on two National Institutes of Health research grants.
Kinney has worked on methods for the automated reconstruction of the anatomical structure of the brain from nanoscale-resolution images. In addition, he has developed scalable neural recording technologies for obtaining high-speed electrical signals from sites distributed throughout the brain. One of his notable contributions includes designing and building a tool for performing closed-loop ultraprecise, automated craniotomies.
Before joining Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory, Kinney was a postdoctoral researcher in Dr. Sejnowski's lab and later a postdoctoral associate in the lab of Ed Boyden at the MIT Media Lab.
