Keith Moffat

Biography

Keith Moffat is a postdoctoral researcher at the Automatic Control Laboratory, ETH Zurich, specialising in electrical engineering and computer science. He received his Ph.D. from the University of California, Berkeley, in 2022, where he also competed on the US Ski Team from 2009 to 2015.

Research and Publications

Moffat's research focuses on developing new data-driven control and optimisation tools to facilitate the transition to 100% renewable energy electric grids. He has contributed to the following publications:

Teaching

At ETH Zurich, Moffat has helped develop the Computational Control course and led exercise and review sessions for the Control Systems course. At UC Berkeley, he was a graduate student instructor for the university's Introduction to Electric Power Systems course and the Flow of Power Information and Money in Tomorrow’s Electric Grid course offered by UC Berkeley to the Dubai Electric and Water Authority (DEWA).
