Mark D. Lloyd is an American civil rights advocate, lawyer, and journalist. He is currently a visiting professor and the Wallis Annenberg Chair in Communication and Journalism at the USC Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism.
Lloyd graduated from the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor with a double major in Journalism and Political Science. He then obtained a law degree from the Georgetown University Law Center.
Before becoming a communications lawyer, Lloyd was a broadcast journalist, working for public and commercial radio and television networks, including NBC and CNN. He has also worked as a lawyer at the Washington, D.C. law firm Dow, Lohnes & Albertson, and served as general counsel of the Benton Foundation.
