Qiming Yuan
Qiming Yuan is a researcher at OpenAI, contributing to research in computer science and medicine. Yuan is also a DPhil student at the University of Oxford, supervised by Prof. Kate Watkins at the Department of Experimental Psychology and Prof. Heidi Johansen-Berg at the Nuffield Department of Clinical Neurosciences.
Yuan obtained a bachelor's degree in psychology from Northeast Normal University and a master's degree in cognitive neuroscience from the State Key Laboratory of Cognitive Neuroscience and Learning at Beijing Normal University.
Yuan's research interests include using functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) and non-invasive brain stimulation (NIBS) to investigate the neural mechanisms of speech production, how bilinguals produce and process two languages in one brain, and altered brain activity in people who stutter.
