Xavier Robin

Early Life and Education

Xavier Robin is a bioinformatician and researcher, currently working as an assistant professor at the University of Copenhagen and a senior scientific software developer at the SIB Swiss Institute of Bioinformatics. Robin studied for a Master's in Proteomics and Bioinformatics and a PhD in Interdisciplinary Science and Medicine, both at the University of Geneva.

Career

Robin has held various research positions at the University of Copenhagen, the Technical University of Denmark, and the University of Geneva. During his time at these institutions, he has worked on projects such as developing algorithms to combine biomarkers, creating web interfaces for users without R programming skills, and studying the applicability of biomarker panels.

Current Work

Currently, Robin is working as a senior software developer at the SIB Swiss Institute of Bioinformatics, where he has been since 2018. He is also an assistant professor at the University of Copenhagen. Robin's specialties include ROC curves analysis, data analysis (cellular imaging, biomarkers, supervised learning), and bioinformatics programming.
